Light and infrequent vomiting can be considered completely normal; but if it is severe and continuous, it can cause malnutrition or dehydration, either of which can be serious.

Chamomile tea (Matricaria Chamomilla L.), oatmeal and cooked apple should be the only food eaten during few days.
Heat packs (rather lukewarm, never fomentation, which are prepared with boiled water) placed on the stomach region can help during the first few weeks of pregnancy.
Vomiting that does not go away.
If the vomiting does not disappear, then the woman should go to her doctor; in some cases, hospitalization is necessary.
A pregnant woman should never take any medicine not prescribed for her by her doctor.
Some drugs to control vomiting are dangerous for the fetus.
